Rehabilitation should progress alongside extraction where practicable — landform shaping, drainage, erosion control and agreed future land use.
Manage water and erosion
Quarry planning considers rainfall, runoff, sediment, standing water, haul-road drainage and protection of surrounding land and water resources.
Control dust, noise and traffic
Operating methods address dust generation, equipment condition, working hours, speed controls, vehicle routing and road safety.
Protect workers and visitors
Safe access, equipment controls, PPE, training, inspections, incident reporting and emergency arrangements for all authorised persons.
Engage host communities
Regular, documented engagement based on realistic commitments. Local employment and procurement follow transparent criteria.
Provide a grievance channel
Community members can submit a concern without cost or retaliation. Enquiries are logged, assessed, assigned, responded to and reviewed.

Savana will publish licence, environmental or approval information only after management confirms what may lawfully and accurately be disclosed. A community agreement does not replace a quarrying licence or environmental approval.
