A project does not succeed because material has a familiar name. It succeeds when the supplied material is suitable for the intended layer, process and performance requirement. Savana's product architecture separates materials by intended use and required evidence.

Before ordering

Always follow the project specification and the advice or approval of the responsible engineer. Local materials vary between sites and extraction zones. Product suitability must be established for the intended use. Final availability and numerical specifications are published only after resource testing, production trials and approval.

Selected Fill

For platform formation, bulk earthworks and controlled filling

Product approach

Sourced from approved material zones and managed to reduce unsuitable inclusions. Grading, moisture, plasticity and compaction assessment applied where the project requires it.

Product 02

Screened Laterite

For access roads, foundations and general civil works

Testing and production trials required before final public specification.

Product approach

Screening controls oversize and improves consistency. Suitability for structural or pavement use must still be established against grading, fines, plasticity, moisture and strength requirements.

Sub-base Material

Product approach

A specification category, not simply another name for laterite. Offered only where the material has been produced and tested against an agreed project or recognised specification.

Base-course Blend

A base-course or engineered blend may combine selected local material with imported crushed rock where technically justified. Designed against the project specification and whole-cost.

Fines vary widely between source, moisture and season. Savana will only offer fine aggregate for a use once trials, grading and quality evidence support the intended application.

Product suitability is a technical decision. Savana will not publish definitive numerical specifications until management supplies approved technical data sheets.
